After all, following courtesy turns an otherwise dull, mundane exercise into a savory experience which leaves a lasting taste, and of course a memory! So, without further ado, here’s how a cheesecake ought to be eaten… Cheesecake, being a cake uses etiquettes for the same. A moist cake is best eaten with a fork. Here are a few pointers from Alicia Butcher Ehrhardt: A cheesecake should not be eaten at room temperature. To ensure you savor all its flavors, eat it slightly frozen. Take it out from the freezer and microwave it for about 10 seconds. Slice the cheesecake from the narrow end and place it in your mouth. The contents should be allowed to dissolve slowly so that you taste each of the flavors individually for the maximum time possible. After each bite, put the fork down. Anything you are holding/touching is going to distract you from the taste, so it’s best to not have anything in your hands.
