This bakery delivers its stunning cheesecakes throughout the Bay Area.
If you’re a farmers’ market aficionado, you’ve probably seen Charles Farriér’s lavender stall, with its displays of petite cheesecakes just crying out for your attention. Farriér is an Oakland native and a graduate of La Cocina’s nonprofit incubator program, and his flavor-infused confections straddle the line between cheesecake and tart. Seasonal fruit and other flavorings, like earthy-sweet roasted beet puree, are folded into the creamy batter, giving Farriér’s cakes a distinctive marbled look. In addition to cheesecakes, the bakery offers brownies, cookies and pot pies, with vegan variations available.
